We are a small team of very experienced professionals who specialise in providing outpatient veterinary imaging from the heart of historic Cambridge. Paddy qualified from Glasgow in 1989 having wanted to be a vet since she was 4. She is committed to providing high quality diagnostics with a patient orientated ethos and remains very aware that imaging is only one part of the diagnostic work up for any patient. Paddy has two dogs – Norman a gorgeous Norfolk Terrier who’s a bit low to the ground and Dorcas a delightful Springer Spaniel with rubbish elbows. She has two cats Camilla and Madge Mae who are red tabbies.

Amanda is a highly experienced veterinary nurse and has been in vet nursing since leaving school. She is one of a small band of nurses who have been examined in and awarded the Diploma in Advanced Nursing (surgical). Her special interests include diagnostic imaging, anaesthesia and opthalmology. She has two cats, Mizzie and Zac. She and Paddy have worked together for the last 12 years.

All are RCVS, European / American Diplomates who are very experienced in their field and we feel confident that they will give a great level of service for our patients.  We offer this adjunctive service for surgical oncology, oncology, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and internal medicine.

Cambridge Radiology Referrals Privacy Policy 2018

Who are We?
Cambridge Radiology Referrals is a tertiary, veterinary outpatient imaging service.

What, How and Why do we collect Personal Data?
1) We collect the following information from the owners of our patients:
Name, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses.
This is to allow us to:
a) make an appointment for the patient to be seen by us;
b) communicate effectively ahead of, during and after the appointment;
c) get informed consent for the scan and any further procedures.
2) The history provided to us from your primary care vet may contain your address.
3) An insurance claim form will state your address.

We do not use your information in any way other than that stated above i.e. for direct communication ahead of, during and after your visit to us and all relating to that visit.
It is held securely in both electronic and paper format as part of your pet’s patient record.

How Long are Patient Records Held?
Patient records are held for a minimum of 7 years to comply with our legal obligations.
Where the patient’s condition or scan has significant educational value, the records may be held for longer.

How Are Patient Records Destroyed?
After the records have been stored as above, they are destroyed. Paper copies are shredded on site by a company contracted to do so. Electronic copies are shredded using a commercially available software.
